Fly Pollenia

Why are there flies in my house?

Why are we being invaded by flies this year? Firstly because these flying beasts are attracted to light, heat and humidity. In summer, when it is hot and humid, flies proliferate in our interiors, especially if the smells (food, garbage) are important!

How long does a fly last?

These insects reach an average age of 70 days, compared to 45 for a normal laboratory fly.

Where do flies lay in the house?

house flies
They usually lay eggs in moist, decaying organic matter. Their eggs are found in garbage, rotten food or even in feces. One of the favorite breeding grounds of these flies is also in uncovered garbage cans!

Where are the fly nests?

Her favorite places to lay eggs? Definitely your trash can, but also a basket of well (or even overly) ripe fruit, or even a cage for rodents or even litter that attract them with their strong smell. The fly reproduces at very high speed.
